Biography

Dr. Genner Josue Alvarado Soto earned his veterinary degree from the San Francisco de Asís School of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery in Costa Rica in 2017. He spent five years in large animal practice, primarily focusing on equine and bovine medicine, and enhanced his clinical experience through externships in the United States and Canada. Dr. Alvarado completed an 18-month equine internship at the National University of Costa Rica, followed by a rotating equine internship at Weatherford Equine Medical Center in Texas. He is currently a Specialty Intern with the Equine Field Service Department at Auburn University, with special interests in equine internal medicine and surgery.
