Ayomide representing CVM as Graduate School ambassador
Aderemi Morenikeji Ayomide, a Ph.D. candidate in Biomedical Science, will represent the College of Veterinary Medicine as an Auburn University Graduate School 1887 Society Ambassador.
Ambassadors provide guided campus tours to prospective students, assist with special events and engage in professional development.
Originally from Nigeria, Ayomide plans to become a physician-scientist who integrates biomedical research with medical training. Her research focuses on building understanding of how the receptor HCA2 influences fat tissue during times when the body doesn’t receive adequate nutrients. Her investigation of white fat, which stores energy, and brown fat, which generates heat, will yield insights into how the human body adapts during fasting or dieting.
