CVM Communications & Marketing team earns accolades

The College of Veterinary Medicine’s Communications & Marketing team earned recognition during the Public Relations Council of Alabama’s state conference in March.
The team earned three Awards of Excellence in PRCA’s Medallion Awards judging for short-term public relations campaigns. The CVM’s winning entries included an integrated communications campaign for the Auburn University Raptor Center’s 25th anniversary of “War Eagle Flights” in Fall 2025, an August 2025 Media Day that offered local and state outlets a behind-the-scenes look at the Raptor Center’s training in preparation for gameday flights, and “compassionate” communications planning focusing on delivering timely, accurate and relevant information to key stakeholders on sensitive issues.
Contributors to the award-winning entries included Communications & Marketing Director Troy Johnson, Applications System Analyst & Web Developer Jennifer Kang and Graphic Designer Scott Brown.
PRCA’s membership includes chapters in East Alabama, North Alabama, West Alabama, Montgomery, Mobile, Birmingham and Dothan. Members represent a variety of industry and non-profit sectors, including local and state government, tourism and hospitality, K-12 and higher education, utilities, small businesses and public relations and marketing agencies.
