Research spotlight: New directions of parasitology
The newest issue of the American Journal of Veterinary Research highlights the parasitology research of Auburn CVM faculty members Jeba R. J. Jesudoss Chelladurai and Kathryn E. Reif.
Chelladurai’s work explores genetic and molecular mechanisms that drive antiparasitic drug resistance and tolerance in parasitic worms. Reif’s lab focuses on the integration of vector biology, veterinary parasitology and applied disease control to address threats posed by ticks and vector-borne pathogens.
Chelladurai was one of three CVM faculty members selected for Auburn University’s 2025-2026 Research Communications Fellows program, while Reif was featured in a recent issue of Auburn Research magazine.
