Assistant Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology, Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences

MAJ Christopher Reeves is a 2016 graduate of Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. He has a wife, Summer, of 17 years, a daughter Skylar (11), and a son Kit (8). He completed his Army Veterinary Corps internship at Fort Hood’s First Year Graduate Veterinary Education program from 2016-2017. He has served as Officer in Charge of Eglin Air Force Base’s Veterinary Treatment Facility, Eglin AFB, FL; Benelux Veterinary Branch, Wiesbaden, Germany, and Executive Officer of Veterinary Readiness Activity – Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany. He is currently in the third year of the U.S. Army’s Laboratory Animal Medicine Residency Program.  He is stationed at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS), Bethesda, MD, where he is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology in the School of Medicine.  He teaches courses that span between statistics and epidemiology to first year medical students, “Introduction to One Health” to the Masters of Public Health students, canine anesthesiology in the deployed environment to Army anesthesiologists, and finally Canine Tactical Combat Casualty Care to fourth year and international medical students at Operation Bushmaster.
