Veterinary Teaching Hospital
The Auburn University Veterinary Teaching Hospital provides state-of-the-art care and serves as a referral hospital and community practice facility to communities throughout Alabama and neighboring states. With board-certified specialists and a nationally renowned faculty, clients of the teaching hospital benefit from the combined expertise of specialists utilizing a team-based approach to patient health care.
Animal owners and their pets play a vital role in supporting the educational mission of the Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine as senior-level veterinary students work under the direction of faculty to provide medical care.
The Wilford and Kate Small Animal Teaching Hospital provides the companion animal clinical educational curriculum for the College of Veterinary Medicine. Through primary patient care and the teaching hospital, 12 services provide state-of-the-art care for more than 13,000 companion animal patients each year.
The John Thomas Vaughan Large Animal Teaching Hospital houses one of the oldest professional programs in the nation. Advancements in internal medicine and surgical techniques, an internationally recognized faculty and a comprehensive consultation program keep Auburn on the cutting edge of modern large animal surgery and medicine.
