Harriet

Harriet

Harriett, a Harris’s Hawk, joined the Auburn University Raptor Center in 2012 after being donated to the center by a falconer. Hatched in human care in 2009, she has spent her entire life working closely alongside people. This background makes her exceptionally comfortable around handlers and well-suited for educational programming.

Harris’s Hawks are unique among raptors for their cooperative hunting style, earning them the nickname “wolves of the sky.” Her sharp intelligence, social nature, and confident demeanor make her a favorite in programs and demonstrations. Harriett plays a key role in connecting guests to the world of raptors.
